1. A Wrinkle In Time – Madeleine L’Engle

Whether you’re in a campervan with your kids or with your fellow kids at heart, you won’t go wrong with hearing about Meg, Charles and Calvin’s adventures through space and time in the background. If you’ve read this book as a child, it’s definitely worth listening to on your next road trip, wherever that may be.

2. Bossypants – Tina Fey

What better way to keep boredom away than listening to one of America’s funniest women tell you about her life story? Get ready to laugh your heart out with Tina Feys’ lively memoir, “Bossypants”.  With the actress’ trademark comedic timing and wit, this is one audio book that you should never leave home without.

3. Lolita- Vladimir Nabokov

Revisit this classic tale of seduction by listening to it while driving one of Australia’s scenic tourist routes. Make sure though, that you have only adults in the campervan hire with you. 4. Matilda- Roald Dahl

If you’re on a long road trip with the family, “Matilda” is an audio book that kids and kids at heart will love listening to. 5. World War Z: An Oral History Of The Zombie War – Max Brooks

If you’re a fan of science fiction, zombie apocalypse movies, TV shows and novels, then you shouldn’t give this audio book a miss. After all, it would certainly keep you on your toes and you need to stay alert while you’re on the road, right?

Alan Alda, Mark Hamil and John Turturro give life to the book’s characters and describe post-zombie apocalypse life in America, as well as the events that led to the catastrophe. The novel was also the basis for the movie, “World War Z” starring Brad Pitt.
