Hawk’s Nest is one of the most popular locations in New South Wales. This favourite surfing destination is also home to several child-friendly tourist attractions. Playgrounds are everywhere! Plus, the barbeques and other park amenities are adorned with mosaics that would surely entertain your kids while you take a leisurely stroll at the beach.

On the other hand, you might want to check Myall Lakes National Park just north of Hawk’s Bay. Prepare a tasty barbeque as the kids run around the park’s 40-kilometre beachfront. You and your family may even want to take a dip on one of “NSW’s largest coastal lake systems” or visit the Sugarloaf Point Lighthouse during your day tour.

Sunshine Coast is another wonderful child-friendly destination in Queensland. The park that surrounds the beach have amenities specifically designed for campervan travellers. Add to that, there’s a lot of shade in these motorhome parks where kids can run and play freely without being under the sun far too long.

Of course, there are a lot of activities for kids and kids-at-heart. You and the kids can go fishing at the Maroochy River. You can also head off to Australia Zoo or Underwater World SEA LIFE Mooloolaba for an environmental escapade. The natural beauty of this place is truly inescapable.

However, the National Arboretum Playground is perhaps the best park among these gardens for kids! The pod playground is a maze where kids can run and climb around or inside giant acorn pods!
